May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.       Job Goal:
      Coordinate the organization of the curriculum delivery system and the organization of student information/records. Act as the registrar.

      Desired Qualifications:
      • MA/MS in Secondary Administration
      • Appropriate State Department of Education certification (including evaluator approval)
      • Teaching experience at the secondary level
      • Experience in or knowledge of student master schedule
      • Previous administrative experience
      Performance Responsibilities:
      • Apply reflective practice with the Standards of School Leaders including: vision, culture of teaching/learning, management, relationships, ethics, legal context.
      • Prepare the master schedule of classes for students and staff, balance class size, and organize semester testing.
      • Assist the principal in assignment of teacher responsibilities.
      • Prepare registration materials for all present students and incoming ninth graders. Collect registration data for the Forum.
      • Evaluate teachers and other staff as assigned.
      • Organize school events including, but not limited to: open house for eighth graders, parent/teacher conferences, graduation.
      • Coordinate annual Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) meeting local, state, and federal requirements and work with assessment analysis.
      • Act as Registrar with student records, transcripts, grade reporting.
      • Coordinate distribution of report cards/progress reports.
      • Coordinate schoolwide surveys with the counseling department including: Conditions for Learning and the Iowa Youth Survey.
      • Organize and complete the BEDS report for the State of Iowa
      • Organize and complete new course SCED codes.
      • Manage Infinite Campus grading, data, and reports.
      • Manage ParentSquare communication.
      • Implement the comprehensive school plan goals.
      • Supervise student activities/extra curricular events/lunch.
      • Assist with student discipline.
      • Coordinate student teachers.
      • Coordinate with NICC programming at Hempstead.
      • Commit to multicultural/gender fair policies and practices.
      • Collaborate with administrative team.
      • Other duties as assigned.
      Terms of Employment:
      • 226 day contract
