Asst. Professor - Accounting teaches courses in the discipline area of accounting. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Asst. Professor - Accounting provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Accounting typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and contributes to research in a specialized field. Requirements :
- High School Diploma (minimum) .
- Minimum 2 years of experience in tax preparation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) .
- Experience in business and company tax preparation.
- Strong understanding of tax laws, particularly 1065, 1120s, and 1120 returns.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and tax preparation software (Drake).
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred).
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- CPA certification or Enrolled Agent status is a plus.
- PTIN number is a plus.
