Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Electrical Engineering typically reports to a department head.     • Provides Engineering Transfer and Engineering Technologies instruction focused mainly in Electrical, Electronics, and/or Computer Engineering-related courses. Provides curriculum development and assessment, care of facilities, equipment and other details pertinent to the program. 
    • Manages community outreach functions related to the program. May teach in the day, evening, on-campus, as well as alternate delivery methods (i.e. internet, hybrid, etc.)

    This position is located on the Northeast Campus of Midlands Technical College.
    A minimum of a Master's degree Engineering or a Master's Degree in a related field with 18 graduate credit hours completed in a directly related discipline.
     Knowledge of academic management, effective principles of curriculum/program development and assessment, positive interpersonal skills, and effective and correct oral and written communication skills. Knowledge in the following areas: Principles and procedures pertaining to higher education, especially teaching methodologies; standard business practices and accepted protocol for areas of responsibility; and college mission, goals and objectives. Ability to supervise and coordinate student activities and establish good working relations with alumni, businesses, students, media, faculty, and others in college community. Professional Certification and/or Licensure is desired but not required. Industrial and/or teaching experience is a plus.
