Professor - English provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - English typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and contributes to research In a specialized field.   • The Tri-County Technical College Arts and Sciences Division is seeking collaborative, energetic, and innovative English Adjunct Instructors. Successful candidates will teach courses using systematically planned and delivered instruction for the program; maintain records of student academic progress and attendance, evaluate level of achievement, and assign grades for the program. 
     
     Course work may include:
    -  Introduction to Composition
    - English Composition
    -  American Literature
    - Communications
    - English Literature
    -  World Literature
    - 20th and 21st Century Literature  

    The English Adjunct Instructor role is a part-time, non-benefited employment role. Successful candidates will be required to teach face-to-face instruction at one of our four community campuses (Anderson, Easley, Pendleton, or Oconee) or teach online instruction.  The Fall 2024 Semester begins on August 10th.    Masters' degree with 18 graduate hours in English.  Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience in a community college; successful experience using a variety of active and collaborative learning strategies; experience implementing innovative assessments to measure student learning; and a demonstrated track record showing regular professional development around their teaching and the discipline.  About Us
