Job Announcement - High School History Teacher Position

Quitman County School District is excited to announce an opening for the position of High School History Teacher. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated educator to join our team.

Position : High School School History Teacher

Location : Quitman County High School, Georgetown, Ga

Type : Full-time

Responsibilities :

1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons to high school students.

2. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.

3. Utilize a variety of instructional methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles.

4. Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.

6. Stay current with advancements in History education and integrate real-world applications into the curriculum.

7. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents / guardians.

8. Supervise and support student activities, such as debate club.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.

2. Demonstrated passion for and expertise in teaching History subjects.

3. Strong classroom management and organizational skills.

4. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

5. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
