Job Title: Director of Worship Arts

Job Description Summary: As the Director of Worship Arts, you will play a meaningful role in leading our congregation in heartfelt and spirit-filled worship. We are seeking a passionate individual with a deep and ongoing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who is also a skilled vocalist and musician, proficient in keyboard and/or guitar.

Primary Objective: The primary objective of this role is to cultivate an atmosphere of worship that engages and inspires our congregation, drawing them closer to God through music and song.

Qualifications:

• Strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Proficiency as a vocalist and musician, with expertise in keyboard and/or guitar
• Bachelor’s degree in music, worship ministry or a related field is preferred
• Experience leading various styles of worship
• Ability to work collaboratively with others
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and lead worship experiences for Sunday services and special events
• Select music that aligns with the overall vision and values of the church
• Recruit, mentor, and train volunteer worship team members
• Collaborate with the Senior Pastor and other ministry leaders to integrate worship into the overall church ministry
• Stay current with trends in worship music and technology

Requirements:

• Commitment to a lifestyle consistent with biblical principles and values of First Covenant Church
• Availability for weekend services and other worship events
• Flexibility to pursue other areas of ministry as directed by the Senior Pastor
