Job Description |
UNC-Pembroke invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Physics beginning in August 2025. The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential for teaching a variety of physics courses including an upper-level required course for undergraduate physics majors in the first year. The ideal candidate should possess experience in teaching at the undergraduate level, either as a teacher or teaching assistant. Experience or interest in teaching Astronomy and Electronics, a plus. The responsibilities for this role will encompass teaching 12 credit hours of classes and labs per semester, actively participating in university service duties such as judging Science Fair and Robotics competitions. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to conduct their own research project, utilizing our extensive array of instrumentation, particularly in optics, while engaging students in undergraduate research initiatives.
