Attorney is responsible for using specialized knowledge of national, state, and/or local laws to advise and represent clients and organizations in criminal or civil proceedings and other legal matters. Provides legal advice and counsel in support of business activities and transactions. Being an Attorney researches and interprets existing laws and regulations and anticipated changes to laws to guide informed decisions and reduce risk. Prepares and reviews various agreements, contracts, and other legal documents. Additionally, Attorney represents the organization in litigation, negotiations, and other matters where legal counsel is required. May have a billable hours requirement. Requires a JD. Requires State Bar membership. Typically reports to a manager. The Attorney work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. They are seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Pre-Suit Personal Injury Associate/Attorney to join its team. Must be able to work full time in the office in either West Palm Beach or Fort Lauderdale.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle a case load, attend court, negotiate settlements, oversee trial preparation, conduct trials, and attend meditations and arbitration's
- Advise clients of claim liability and legal rights interpret laws, rulings, and regulations.
- Conduct depositions and respond to discovery demands
- Ability to conduct discovery and draft motions
- Gather evidence to initiate and support legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of case
- Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:
- The successful candidate must have a minimum of 1 years' of pre suit personal injury experience that is documented, and be licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
- Prior experience on the Plaintiff side with Personal Injury Protection
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Position is 5 days a week in the office
