Attorney is responsible for using specialized knowledge of national, state, and/or local laws to advise and represent clients and organizations in criminal or civil proceedings and other legal matters. Provides legal advice and counsel in support of business activities and transactions. Being an Attorney researches and interprets existing laws and regulations and anticipated changes to laws to guide informed decisions and reduce risk. Prepares and reviews various agreements, contracts, and other legal documents. Additionally, Attorney represents the organization in litigation, negotiations, and other matters where legal counsel is required. May have a billable hours requirement. Requires a JD. Requires State Bar membership. Typically reports to a manager. The Attorney work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Berry PLLC is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our firm in Logan, UT.
This is a great opportunity for a new attorney to get hands-on experience and grow a client base, all while making a competitive salary with a low billable-hour requirement.
Subject-matter experience is not necessary, but some background in construction and real estate, with experience in both transactions and litigation, is helpful.
Duties include:
- Managing litigation case load focused on real estate and construction matters, including all stages of discovery and motion practice.
- Assisting with transactional real estate and construction matters, including performing due diligence and drafting contracts and related documents.
- Developing and managing client relationships.
Experience: 3-5 years
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
