Audiologist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a variety of hearing, balance, and ear disorders. Administers and interprets a variety of tests, such as air and bone conduction, speech reception, and discrimination tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech. Being an Audiologist evaluates test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical information obtained from patients, families, teachers, and other professionals. Reviews charts, test results, and other patient data to understand issues and develop treatment programs to alleviate symptoms and treat disorders. Additionally, Audiologist monitors and evaluates treatment progress and adjusts care plan as necessary. Programs, fits, and adjusts hearing aids for customers. May require Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) in some states. Requires a master's degree in audiology. Typically requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A). Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager. Audiologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     The Audiologist will be responsible for hearing evaluations for all ages, fittings, and follow-up care.     The following DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES are central to the role:

    • Conduct diagnostic comprehensive hearing evaluations
    • Executes a treatment plan through excellent counseling and education
    • Recommend and fit proper hearing devices based on patient’s needs
    • Assist in clinical administrative functions including phone calls, documentation, and reporting
    • Maintain confidentiality of all business and patient information
    • Adherence to company policies and procedures
    • To ensure success candidates should also possess the following

    EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

    • Demonstrated experience building strong and positive relationships with patients
    • Masters or Doctorate in Audiology
    • Active MN Dispensing license or eligible for licensure
