Auditing Supervisor supervises the day-to-day execution of a comprehensive enterprise-wide internal auditing strategy, function, and practice adhering to auditing standards and regulatory requirements. Supports auditing teams with resources, training, expertise, and problem-solving help to complete auditing projects. Being an Auditing Supervisor uses auditing governance frameworks and procedures to plan and manage the auditing schedules, projects, teams, and tasks required to meet defined objectives. Engages with other functions across the enterprise, like risk, finance, information technology, and security, to facilitate audits. Additionally, Auditing Supervisor prepares audit reports, documentation, and recommendations for enhanced controls or processes. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require or be working towards a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Typically reports to a manager. The Auditing Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Auditing Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Midwest Hardwood is actively seeking a full time Wood Products Production Supervisor to join our growing, fast-paced lumber industry. If you enjoy working in manufacturing and making quick decisions while working under pressure, this is the job for you!
Who are we?
Midwest Hardwood Company is a hardwood manufacturing company and industrial building product distributor serving domestic and international customers since 1981. We have three sawmills and two dry-kiln facilities located in Wisconsin. These cities are Reedsburg, Park Falls, Mellen and Fountain City.
Job Duties:
-Responsible for helping oversee operations in a diverse, fast-paced hardwood lumber manufacturing environment
-Proven track record of manufacturing experience
-Ability to communicate with others in a positive manner through verbal and written means
-Be highly organized and detail oriented
-Possess strong leadership qualities
-Ensure equipment, supplies, and production area is in appropriate working condition
-Proficient with technology
-Monitor, maintain, and operate machinery on production floor
-Assists with administrative tasks
-Identify and assist in resolving safety, quality, and productivity issues
-Entering correct item codes and generating tags
-Communicating relevant updates with the shipping department on orders
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM-5:00 PM with occasional overtime
Requirements:
-Previous manufacturing and supervision experience
-The ability to twist, bend, and lift 50 lbs repetitively
-Self-motivated, ability to work independently, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
-General computer knowledge/experience and attention to detail
-Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time and work in varying weather conditions
-Willing to cross train in other roles
-Varying warehouse experience
