The Sales Estimator is responsible for finding opportunities, relationship management collecting and analyzing data to estimate the costs of labor, materials, equipment for fabrication opportunities. This position works with various stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure project-costs and -prices sustain the Sloan business. The Sales Estimator is a self-starter, works independently, effectively communicates verbally and in writing.

General Tasks, Duties, and Assignments
- Identifies market opportunities and sales opportunities
- Performs Quantity Take-Off estimation for structural steel, misc. metals, etc.
- Perform Accurate estimation of costs for Material, Labor and Equipment
- Organize and Analyze Project Documents (drawings and specifications)
- Reviews and evaluates Project Documents including creation of Pre-Bid RFIs
- Contributes to “Go” or “No-Go” discussions on opportunities
- Visits jobs sites and customer facilities and projects
- Contacts vendors/subcontractors for pricing
- Communicates with other specialties (internal and external) for means, methods, and sequence estimates
- Develops Proposal Documents
- Follow up on proposals sent previously

Education
- Required—High school diploma or GED
- Preferred—Experience or education in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
