Automotive Mechanic jobs in Renton, WA
Automotive Mechanic performs maintenance and repairs on automobiles and light trucks. Performs major repairs like body work, chassis and engine repair, and disassembling and assembling components. Being an Automotive Mechanic also performs minor repairs and maintenance work such as replacing worn drive belts, hoses, and filters. Helps diagnose issues, uses electronic indicator systems to identify problems, and performs routine safety checks on brakes, suspension, exhaust, cooling, and other systems. Additionally, Automotive Mechanic adheres to appropriate safety procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically requires a Certificate in Automotive Technology. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Automotive Mechanic works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Hyundai of Kirkland is rapidly growing and to keep up with our continued growth, we are actively pursuing an Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our Service Department. Working as a Certified Hyundai Technician, you’ll get to work on the most cutting-edge technology in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate is going to be someone with prior automotive repair/diagnostic experience with ASE or manufacturer certifications.
Automotive Technician/Mechanic Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose automotive problems as they arise.
- We are conducting inspections, repairing engine failure, repairing mechanical and electrical systems, and replacing parts.
- Comply with manufacturer specifications throughout the repair/servicing process.
- Mentor and help other technicians on the Service Team.

Qualifications
Automotive Technician/Mechanic Qualifications
- 1-3 years of automotive repair/diagnostic experience.
- Hyundai Certified preferred.
- Driver’s License.
- Personal Tools.
Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen, THC not screened for.
