Job Summary : The Automotive Service Writer is responsible for greeting customers and providing them with a positive service experience.

This individual will act as a liaison between the customer and the service technicians, ensuring efficient and timely communication throughout the service process.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, and a good understanding of automotive mechanics.

Responsibilities :

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document them
• Recommend necessary automotive repairs and services to customers
• Provide customers with accurate estimates for repairs and services
• Schedule appointments and maintain an organized service schedule
• Communicate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and services
• Keep customers informed of progress and any changes to the service timeline
• Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
• Maintain customer records and update them as needed
• Assist with other administrative tasks as needed

Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Writer preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of automotive maintenance and repairs
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
• Proficient in computer software and technology
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
