Grants Pass Automotive is looking for a Assistant Service Manager to help manage the day to day operations for both service advisors and technicians. Maintain the Service Technicians daily schedule and dispatch work to the technicians as service appointments come to the dealership. Maintain the schedule for Service Technicians. Clear and concise communication with Service Manager, Service Writers, and Technicians. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dispatch work to Technicians and Repair order come in.
• Dispatch is in control of all training for main shop Service Technicians.
• Maintain a dealership-prescribed standard for "Efficiency for each technician and the shop as a whole"
• Test drive the vehicle with the customer if there are any questions regarding the nature of the problem.
• Inspect technician’s paperwork to ensure that technicians are properly following Grants Pass Automotive’s procedures for inspection, warranty repairs, and customer pay repairs.
• Schedule appointments using dealership approved scheduler.
• Advise technicians on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacture's specifications, using maintenance menu.
• Keep a daily log of repair orders written, status as well as carryovers.
• Handle minor customer complaints and misunderstandings.
• Communicate the need for additional work when needed; explain the details to the service advisors, including the additional cost and time consideration and document properly on repair order.
• Follow up progress of each repair order during the day, contact service advisor or service manager regarding changes in the estimate or time promised.

• Interpret warranty information and policies to service advisors and technicians.
• Stay up to date on technical and performance information on all vehicles serviced by the dealership.
• Advise Service Advisor and Service Manager of parts ordered and ensure that an appointment to have them installed before customer leaves.
• Load the empty technician’s stalls with PDI’s and or early bird in the morning (Preload).
• Dispatch is charge of shop cleanliness maintained to Grants Pass Automotive Standards.
