Bagger assists cashier by bagging grocery items as customers check out. Loads purchased items into carts and may help patrons carry items outside to their automobiles. Being a Bagger may be responsible for collecting grocery items not purchased and delivering them to stock clerks. May assist with collecting and returning shopping carts to the store from outside the store. Additionally, Bagger may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Bagger possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Provide top quality customer service in accordance with our Company's customer service standards, policies, and procedures. Bag groceries making sure not to overload bags and ensuring contents are not damaged. Load purchased items into carts. Help customers carry and or load purchased groceries out to their vehicles. Retrieve shopping carts from parking lots. Perform price checks when asked by cashier to verify grocery prices. Maintain cleanliness of the store including check stand area. Sweeping of the floor, mopping, emptying trash throughout the store, cleaning of breakroom areas as well as restrooms and other store areas assigned. Maintain cleanliness of parking lot including clean entry and emptying of trash as necessary. Collect grocery items not purchased and return items to appropriate stock shelf. Adhere to uniform and grooming policy as defined within company policy.
Additional $3.00 resort pay up to 40 hours.
