Cashier Job Description

Overview:

Gaby’s Gourmandise is an authentic French bakery and patisserie, lead by a French chef. From behind our beautiful bakery counter, you will take orders, handle payments, answer the phone, and fulfill curbside pick-up orders. You’ll also assist with tasks that help keep the shop organized such as washing dishes and cleaning. You’ll quickly become an expert on our delicious menu and all things French!

This is not just a job, we are seeking staff with a passion for food and customer service who are willing and eager to learn from a professional chef and want to be part of a new, growing business.

What we're looking for:

• Ability to create a friendly and inviting guest experience and respond to inquiries about our items
• Attention to detail; ensuring orders are prepared correctly and with a smile in your eyes
• Team player; be willing to give and ask for help, and anticipate what comes next
• An interest in learning and becoming knowledgeable of French baked goods and pastry items, previous knowledge a plus
• Ability to lift 30 lbs and repeatedly bend, reach and twist; you’re constantly on the move
• Must be at least 18 years old
