Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our growing team. This position involves assembling, wiring, troubleshooting, and testing complex electro-mechanical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in electrical and mechanical assembly, soldering, and electrical circuit integration, with a focus on quality control and precision. The Electro-Mechanical Assembler will work closely with the engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure that all assemblies meet technical specifications, safety standards, and performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, wire, and test electro-mechanical systems, including components like motors, sensors, circuit boards (PCBs), actuators, and control systems.
- Perform electrical wiring, soldering, and crimping of electronic components, ensuring all connections meet industry standards and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate electro-mechanical devices and systems, identifying and resolving technical issues efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings to execute precise assembly and installation processes.
- Install and integrate various electrical components such as motors, sensors, PLCs, and control panels into mechanical assemblies, ensuring full functionality.
- Conduct functional testing, diagnostics, and system verification to confirm operational performance before product release.
- Follow safety protocols and quality assurance procedures to maintain a safe, efficient, and clean working environment.
- Assist with inventory management, including sourcing, organizing, and tracking critical parts and components.
- Collaborate with engineers to make design improvements or suggest modifications to optimize product performance.
- Perform preventative maintenance and adjustments on assembly tools, machinery, and automated systems.
- Ensure all products meet internal standards for quality, durability, and reliability.
- Document assembly processes, test results, and any issues encountered during the production cycle.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline the assembly process.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in electro-mechanical assembly, including knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits, control systems, PLCs, motors, and sensors.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments for assembly tasks.
- Hands-on experience with soldering, crimping, and other electronic assembly techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Knowledge of automated systems, robotics, and manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly in diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict quality control guidelines.
- Experience with calibration, testing, and adjusting electro-mechanical systems to required specifications.
- Proficient in using electrical testing tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and function generators.
- Familiarity with industry standards for electro-mechanical products, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with engineers, technicians, and other departments.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in electrical, mechanical, or electro-mechanical systems are preferred (e.g., IPC certification, EPA certification).
- Prior experience with automation systems or robotics integration is highly beneficial.
- Forklift operation or similar material handling experience a plus.
