Behavioral Health Director oversees the study and treatment of patients with emotional, mental, or psychological disorders. Develops, implements, and updates strategic initiatives, programs, and services. Being a Behavioral Health Director manages and directs the operations of behavioral health services. Uses knowledge of behavioral health research and trends to ensure the department's practices are up-to-date and effective. Additionally, Behavioral Health Director establishes training programs and supports and supervises staff. Ensures all behavioral health operations comply with clinical guidelines and regulations. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a leadership position. As such, the Program Director ensures the smooth operations and completion of work product of the office. Work to maintain a positive relationship and office environment for all. Coaching and leading the office through program changes. Relaying information timely from ESL corporate office and funders.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
A Master’s degree in a human services-related field is required.
Licensure in a human services discipline (e.g. LPC, LCSW, LAC, etc.) is preferred, though not mandatory.
Must have a minimum of two (2) years of Supervisory experience in behavioral health.
Programmatic experience with HUD-funded services for people experiencing homelessness is required.
Experience with writing HUD grants, and working within the federal grant-writing platform called e-Snaps, preferred though optional.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - with or without reasonable accommodations:
The employee is regularly required to operate a computer, file and retrieve written documents, communicate with others on the phone and in person
The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, use hands, and lift and/or move lightweight items
Ability to move independently within the facility and community
Must be able to drive within the area programs exist to visit participants and funders in person.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a normal working office setting that is environmentally controlled. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.
Work can also be performed in different centers, participant homes and residential housing settings, where you would interact with the general public
