Summary
This position receives, stores and distributes parts, tools and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
Essential Functions
Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to customers and other departments as needed.
Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and / or shipped.
Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins per predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
Fill requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to the service department or staging areas for shipping to technicians in the field
Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for service technicians and customer traffic.
Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
Assist in counting of physical inventory monthly and annually.
May be assigned facilities maintenance duties and special projects as needed.
Prepare parcels for mailing and shipping via truck, air and water transportation.
Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness always.
Call customers for part Will Call
Maintain proper certification to perform the duties assigned i.e.
forklift, CFR49, IATA and D.O.T.
physical.
Issue credits for returned parts and cores.
