Imperium Healthcare Consulting is seeking an outstanding customer service driven individual to serve as a Benefits Retrieval Specialist to train at our East Syracuse office, then transfer to remote full-time.
Summary: The Benefits Retrieval Specialist (Remote) will be responsible for making outbound calls directly to patients to discuss medical benefits. They will also collect deposits from patients prior to their scheduled appointment, specifically those with high deductible plans.
Responsibilities:
· Verify patient eligibility and review medical benefits with patients.
· Confirm and/or edit demographic and insurance information accurately as needed.
· Follow company policies and procedures.
· Maintain position benchmarks set by supervisor.
· Maintain exceptional customer service.
· Ability to effectively manage time with minimal supervision.
· Attending billing meetings monthly virtually with billing team.
· Proficient technology skills.
· Strong communication skills.
· Ability to maintain HIPPA compliance constantly.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· 2 years of customer service experience required, preferably in a medical setting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
