Bereavement Coordinator plans and provides bereavement counseling and support to survivors. Assesses individual needs and coordinates with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and deliver a holistic support plan. Being a Bereavement Coordinator guides survivors to appropriate bereavement resources. Facilitates grief support group sessions. Additionally, Bereavement Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree in social work. May require the applicable State License to Practice Clinical Social Work. Typically reports to a manager. The Bereavement Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Job Summary:

Responsibilities:
- Provide spiritual care and support to patients, families, and staff
- Conduct religious services, prayers, and rituals as needed
- Offer bereavement support to individuals experiencing loss
- Mentor and counsel individuals facing difficult life circumstances
- Lead discussions on faith, hope, and healing
- Assist in conflict resolution and ethical decision-making
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address holistic care needs
- Plan and coordinate religious events and services
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Divinity, Theology, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Ordination or certification as a Chaplain
- Experience in mentoring, bereavement support, leadership, conflict management, event planning
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present and write effectively
- Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices
- Ability to educate others on spiritual matters
