Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced aging follow-up professional to join our dynamic billing team. The position is part time, Monday-Thursday from 9am-2pm. Experience working with health insurance companies and accounts receivable follow up is a must. Good customer service skills, attention to detail, and excellent time management skills are needed. Dependability for in-office work with consistency of attendance is required for this position to be successful.

Responsibilities:

· Insurance aging follow up

· Use of Availity, One Health Port and many other insurance portals

· Investigate and resolve any denials received from insurance carriers

· Generate financial reports with follow up notes for healthcare provider offices

· Communicate with patients when necessary to convey instructions from insurance companies

· Communicate with provider offices to convey instructions to resolve denied claims and coordination of benefits issues

· Patient Aging Follow Up

· Communication with patients relating to balances, credit cards on file, and payment plans

· Backup Claims Submission Specialist

· Backup to Benefit Quote Specialist

· Backup to Patient Data Specialist

Requirements:

· Proficient in Accounts Receivable Follow Up

· At least 1 year experience in Medical Billing or a related field

· Proficiency in math and patient billing systems

· Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and MS Teams

· Patient Communication Experience

· Basic understanding of HIPAA/HITECH

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· Proficient in Time Management and Multi-Tasking

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
