Job Description:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Billing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior billing experience but we are willing to train the right person.

Applicant must have previous experience in a medical environment at some capacity, and possess a strong understanding of insurance and terminology.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the lead biller with various tasks
• Assist in the billing process, including preparing and submitting claims to insurance companies.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation.
• Provide support to the billing department as needed.
• Helping with medical credentialing

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical environment.
• Proficiency in medical billing software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with insurance processes and terminology is a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
