Billing Clerkor Billing Associate –

ESS, services a prominent community of individuals with developmental disabilities, is seeking an organized and courteous billing staff for our Brooklyn location. The Billing Clerk or Billing Associate is responsible for maintaining an efficient flow and accurate accounting of patients through the various habilitation services that the agency offers. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, occasional evenings may be required.

Responsibilities:

• Individuals accounts management
• Insurance verification and claims submission
• Re-billing, corrections, and transaction adjustments
• Reconciliation

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, additional education preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in Medicaid billing
• Ability to perform accurate data entry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures and populations
