Billing Systems Analyst monitors, maintains and verifies the billing system to ensure accurate billing information. Analyzes billing system components after implementation or integration. ESSENTIAL FUNCITONS:
1. Responsible for patient billing and accounts receivable.
2. Compiles and submits claims to patients and outsource patient pay agencies to secure reimbursement for services/supplies rendered.
3. Follows claims to resolution using an affective tracking system.
4. Maintains patient financial records.
5. Employs accepted collection methods to collect on past due accounts.
6. Examines insurance explanation of benefits to assure correct payment due from patient.
7. Prepares aging of patient accounts on a monthly basis.
8. Receives patient phone calls and researches inquiries.
9. Bills facility invoices for DME products.
10. Performs other tasks as assigned.
