Bindery Technician performs various machine and manual operations to complete print binding and finishing processes. Completes tasks including measuring, cutting, collating, inserting, folding, stapling, or gluing to produce finished bound products. Being a Bindery Technician sets up, operates, tends, and maintains bindery equipment. Inspects equipment for malfunctions, troubleshoots and resolves problems. Additionally, Bindery Technician follows all required quality and safety procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Bindery Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Overview
We are seeking a skilled Bindery Operator to join our dynamic team for 1st shift! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the post-printing process, ensuring that printed materials are finished to the highest quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a passion for the printing industry.
This position offers a 4 day work week!
Job Duties include but not limited to:
o Operate bindery equipment, such as cutters, collators, folders, and stitchers
o Set up and adjust machines properly to ensure quality and consistency
o Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot issues as they arise
o Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment
o Ensure materials are correctly assembled and bound according to specifications
o Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
o Lift up to 50lbs and stand for duration of shift
REQUIRMENTS:
o High school diploma or equivalent
o Prior experience operating bindery equipment preferred
o Ability to read and interpret job tickets and specifications
o Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
o Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues
o Aptitude for mechanical and technical work
o Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
o Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
o Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods of time
