REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience: Associates degree in an Engineering related field and 5 years of naval architecture and shipyard supervisory experience and related experience includes a strong and proven knowledge in the use of FORAN or other 3D Design Software, AutoCAD, MSC Nastran, and Rhino.
Skills: Intermediate level Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, and the public. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form. Proficiency in FORAN or similar software such as AVEVA, NUPAS CADMATIC, ShipConstructor or similar CAD/CAM software required. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to work in a fast- paced environment, display an attention for detail, and function as a team player.

This job operates in an office environment co-located with production working together on daily technical and production issues on the ship. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, and smartphones. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
