The School of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale is actively seeking an outstanding prospective PhD candidate to join our doctoral programs, specializing in the field of Biomedical Engineering. The intended commencement date for this candidacy is the Summer or Fall semester of 2024.

The Graduate Research Assistantships available for this position encompass a comprehensive tuition waiver along with a competitive stipend.

Research fields:

• Biomedical Instrumentation (Automation)
• Cellular and Molecular Biomechanics (Mechanosensitive Ion Channel)
• Neuroscience/Neuromodulation
• Biomedical computer simulation

Requirement:

• Prospective candidates are required to possess a Master of Science (MS) degree in either Biomedical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or in a closely related field within the realm of biosciences, such as Biology, Neuroscience, or Physiology.
• A minimum GRE Quantitative score at the 57th percentile is mandatory.
• International applicants are obligated to attain a TOEFL score
• Submit your CV (or resume), BS, and MS transcripts

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $21,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
