Duties

• Responsible for building large tanks, heavy pipe-work, and pressure vessels for power plants, refineries, and chemical manufacturers.
• Must be able to assemble, erect and maintain boilers, tanks pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pollution control systems, furnaces, condensers, water towers, pen-stocks and scroll casings.
• Performs maintenance and repair of stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries.
• Must be able to perform metal working, mechanical and manual work, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Aligns structures or plate sections in accordance with blueprints.
• Sets up and operates brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses to cut, shape, and form metal into parts or sections.
• Uses hoisting, rigging, welding equipment, tools and hardware.
• Demonstrated ability to use a wide variety of hand and powered tools, powered equipment, and measuring and testing equipment.
• Able to read and understand drawings, specifications and applicable codes and standards.

Education and Training:

• Three years in one or more related crafts, i.e., boilermaker, mechanic, millwright, etc.
• High School diploma or GED

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00 per hour
