Bookkeeper/Payroll Clerk

Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Bookkeeper/Payroll Clerk. This Full-Time year-round non-exempt, hourly position will report to the Controller and will be one of the main positions within the Finance Department. Job duties will include but not limited to processing Accounts Payable and Payroll from the beginning to the end for each pay cycle, posting General Ledger batches, filing sales tax monthly, helping with audits such as Workers’ Comp and Year End audits, processing 1099s and keeping up to date with Payroll and Reporting changes throughout the year and reconciling certain Leger accounts, benefit accounts and credit card statements.

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Payroll preferred, a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an advanced knowledge of Excel. Prior experience with Financials Edge and Ascentis HRIS software a definite plus and prior experience in a Non-Profit setting is preferred.
