JOB SUMMARY
The Branch Supervisor is responsible for comprehensive, prompt, and efficient handling of account openings, customer issues and overall branch operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Answers phones assisting customers and/or transferring callers to appropriate branch personnel
- Cross sells bank products and services when appropriate
- Admits customers to their Safe Deposit Box(s)
- Opens and maintains new accounts, explaining and cross selling products and services when appropriate
- Prepares and maintains account paperwork, and gathers customer information in accordance with regulations and bank policies
- Is responsible for comprehensive, prompt, and efficient customer transactions, verifying identities, signatures, balances, and cash amounts.
- Is responsible for maintenance, settlement and audits of the Vault and ATM.
- Orders cash and other supplies for the branch in keeping with appropriate limits
- Oversees proper completion of all reports and logs, performing audits on same
- Completes daily reports within allowable time frame
- Ensures staff is aware of, and follows all Federal, State and banking rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Review and decision daily overdrafts in the Branch Manager’s absence
- Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and USA PATRIOT Act (including but not limited to) Customer Identification Program, customer due diligence and maintaining customer/account profiles, accurate completion of CTDs, Monetary Instrument logs and other records, identifying red flags and reporting unusual activities to the BSA Department
OTHER DUTIES
- Operates teller window when needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Branch Manager or the Retail Operations Manager
SUPERVISORY DUTIES
- Schedules staffing for appropriate coverage of the branch operating hours
- Coordinates staff vacations
- Maintains staff time and attendance in The Bank’s tracking system
- Performs staff reviews, coaching and disciplinary actions in conjunction with the Branch Manager
- Addresses staff concerns or issues reporting to and conferring with the Branch Manager
- Coaches staff regularly and keeps them up to date with new information, regulations, policies, and procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma/GED
- Two years of banking experience
- Notary Public
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a face paced environment.
- Maintaining knowledge of bank policies and procedures and adherence to same
- Participation in bank community service events
- Handling of customer problems and complaints to best of ability, forwarding to a supervisor when necessary
- Maintains a professional appearance and attitude
- Good understanding of financial products and services
- Above average interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills
- Is a team player
