Branch Review Specialist conducts branch internal audits to determine whether business controls are sufficient and effectively executed in accordance with bank policies and procedures. Tests established procedures to ensure operational efficiency within branch offices. Being a Branch Review Specialist determines whether branches are performing their planning, accounting, custodial, or business control activities in compliance with management instructions, policies, and procedures. Evaluates functions and activities in assigned areas to determine the nature of operations and the adequacy of systems to achieve established objectives. Additionally, Branch Review Specialist recommends corrective actions and improvements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Branch Review Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. This position is hybrid. On site work will need to be completed at the Shared Services Center-Fort Smith facility in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
The Compliance Review Specialist for the SSC-Fort Smith is responsible for ensuring that the SSC's business operations comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies. This role involves working closely with hospital management, staff, and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Collaborate with the Compliance Officer to coordinate with the CHS Compliance Program. (30%)
- Ensure completion of training for new and current SSC associates in the Advanced Learning Center. (25%)
- Triage compliance and privacy reports, directing concerns to appropriate personnel. (10%)
- Assist FCO/FPO with new hire training and work with them on all internal and external audit requests. (10%)
- Maintain confidentiality of patient accounts and reports by following HIPAA guidelines. (10%)
- Assist in development and maintenance of policies and procedures for compliance with reAssist in development and maintenance of policies and procedures for compliance with regulatory bodies (10%)
- Demonstrate proficiency in necessary technology and organize work/resources to accomplish objectives and meet deadlines, while maintaining stable performance under pressure or opposition. (5%)
Qualifications
Required Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Required Experience:
1 Year of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or business office.
Computer Skills Required:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Database software. . Understanding of common applications (MS Office) and other internal systems (e.g., HMS, DAR, Claim IQ, Artiva).
