Branch Review Specialist conducts branch internal audits to determine whether business controls are sufficient and effectively executed in accordance with bank policies and procedures. Tests established procedures to ensure operational efficiency within branch offices. Being a Branch Review Specialist determines whether branches are performing their planning, accounting, custodial, or business control activities in compliance with management instructions, policies, and procedures. Evaluates functions and activities in assigned areas to determine the nature of operations and the adequacy of systems to achieve established objectives. Additionally, Branch Review Specialist recommends corrective actions and improvements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Branch Review Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • STATE PROFILE SUMMARY: 

    Under supervision, provides entry level professional support in one or more of the following areas: OMAT, maintenance, construction, intermodal, planning, utilities, surveying, environmental and traffic. 

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

    ·                 Under general supervision, provides proficient level technical services to material suppliers, District.

                            Laboratories, and contractor's representatives for testing and materials related matters in assigned.

                            area.

    ·         Monitors and inspects material supplier facilities for compliance with specifications and QPL.

                            approval process.

    ·         Trouble-shoots materials and testing problems and make recommendations.

    ·             Monitors quality control programs of material suppliers and producers and evaluates quality control.

    ·         Prepares written failing material reports and correspondences which will be sent to the Branch Chief, Area

    ·             Assist in training and certifying supplier's quality control testing technicians and DOT testing.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

    The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Qualifications 

     

    STATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS: 

    ·         Bachelor's degree in a related field

    ·         OR Associate degree’s in a related field

    ·         OR One year of experience at position equivalent 

     

    AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: 

    ·                 Possesses a Quality Control Technician Level 1 Certification.

    ·                 Possesses a valid Georgia Driver's License

    ·                 Experience in asphalt materials sampling and testing, policies, and procedures for material acceptance testing and/or material specification requirements.

    ·                 Experience using computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel to communicate pertinent information.

    ·                 Possess a high level of commitment toward work, providing quality customer service and a high standard of ethical conduct.

    ·                 Experience communicating and interacting with co-workers, and external customers in a professional manner.

     

    AGENCY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

          ·     Possesses a Quality Control Technician Level 2 Certification.

    ·            Experience using AASHTOWare and GDOT 411 for entering and retrieving data.

    In accordance with the Interview and Selection Process (ISP), an applicant must have no active disciplinary actions to be in good employment standing.  Actions that may disqualify an applicant include letters of reprimand (active for 12 months after issuance date); suspension without pay or disciplinary demotion (active for 12 months from the effective date); Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and Leave Restriction Plans (active until 12 months after the date of conclusion).  In addition, an employee must have an overall ePerformance rating score of three (3) or higher on their most current evaluation.  Please note that Memorandums of Concern are not considered disqualifying factors.  Human Resources may remove any employee from consideration for selection who is pending a disciplinary action; however, if the action is resolved in the employee’s favor, he or she will be allowed to compete.
