Shannon Construction / ShanCon Builds is looking for individuals experienced in the following trade related work areas : bricklaying, tuckpointing, brick removal, stone removal, stone laying.

We are looking for someone with a positive and dedicated attitude to work with our team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment in the MD / DC area.

Hourly rate posted includes both base pay and fringe rate allowing employee to pay for health care coverage of their choice.

Duties and Responsibilities for Bricklayer :

• Cut brick with saw or hammer
• Spread mortar and lay brick to job standards
• Build walls and / or corners with level
• Tool all work to specifications

Duties and Responsibilities for Tuckpointer :

• Grind or chip out old mortar
• Push in new mortar with tools until full
• Mix mortar for pointing
• Finish and polish all surfaces

Qualifications

• Must have 3 years of construction work experience in Bricklaying
• Must familiar with working on scaffolding
• Must have own tools
• Communication Skills
• Can utilize power tools
