Bricklaying Supervisor supervises and directs a crew and other personnel engaged in masonry installation projects. Coordinates the activities of workers engaged in laying brick, tile, cinderblock, and other materials to construct or repair structures. Being a Bricklaying Supervisor checks the quality of work performed and directs clean up of job site. Requires a thorough knowledge of all types, shapes, and brands of bricks, mortars, and patching materials, and how to reline the ladles, tundishes and the furnace. Additionally, Bricklaying Supervisor requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a melt shop general supervisor or maintenance general supervisor. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Reports to the CTT Manager and is a salaried, exempt position. Performs as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in designated subject area.
