Watteredge is a leading high-powered electrical conductor manufacturer located in Avon Lake. We are currently seeking a CNC Lathe operator to join our team. This is a first shift, Monday- Friday 6:00 – 2:30 pm with occasional optional overtime.
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Haas lathe machining centers efficiently in a minimum amount of time to perform multiple machining and cutting operations on various materials, steels, and alloys. The work involves a limited range of production work with close tolerances but is not usually highly involved in difficult setups. You will be expected to position pre-set tooling in the machine, set non-preset tools per the machine manufacturer’s instruction manual, insert the program in the machine, make a preliminary check on the first piece, 10% in between and last piece, adjust tools to maintain print dimensions, and submit the finished operation for inspection approval. You will also need to read prints, and programs, and alter simple instructions, such as speeds, feeds, depth of cut, chamfers, etc.
