Building and Grounds Supervisor supervises and trains building and grounds maintenance staff. Oversees landscaping activities, the maintenance of sidewalks and parking areas, and the removal of trash and snow. Being a Building and Grounds Supervisor maintains and monitors the operation of all utility systems such as heating, ventilating and air conditioning. May be responsible for the housekeeping staff. Additionally, Building and Grounds Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. $5,955 Monthly
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Experience and Training: Eight (8) years of work experience in performing a variety of work in the construction and maintenance of buildings, structures or electrical or plumbing systems, of which four (4) years shall have been as a fully competent skilled worker and including one (1) year of supervisory work experience which included the planning and scheduling of work of other fully competent workers, assigning and reviewing their work, providing training and evaluating their work performance; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
