Building and Grounds Supervisor jobs in Peoria, IL

Starting salary: $34,007 per year.

• Helping coordinate regular inspections and performing preventative maintenance of all mechanical, plumbing, electrical, heating and refrigeration/freezing equipment; inspecting vehicles as required; inspecting playground equipment as required.
• Reporting all major equipment failure immediately to the Foreman for procedural decisions.
• Making reports to the Foreman concerning minor equipment and facility repair. As requested, preparing quotes on maintenance and equipment repair.
• Maintaining public walkways to the Zoo and on the grounds. Participating in all mowing and landscaping.
• Performing minor carpentry, plumbing and electrical repair.
• Assisting part-time employees assigned to maintenance.
• Assisting in exhibit repair and construction, to include spot painting.
• Reporting and preparing needed supply lists and reviewing with Foreman; conducting inventory counts as needed.
• As assigned, preparing and submitting work orders.
• Following all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed. Supports all aspects of the Park District's safety program.
• Wearing proper designated uniform during regular Zoo hours.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
