Location: Torrance, CA Hybrid Role (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) Compensation Range: $115K to $130K plus bonus and benefits The offered compensation to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include (but are not limited to) the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.
Responsibilities: Utilize Power BI (and other tools) to create insightful and visually appealing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that effectively communicate key metrics and trends to the organization. Optimize Power BI reports and queries for performance and responsiveness. Perform data mining, forecasting, and predictive modeling to deliver statistical data analysis Use databases, spreadsheets, and cloud services to integrate into Power BI datasets. Create suitable reporting/analysis by cleaning, transforming, and modeling data. Manage data protection regulations by creating security measures that establish data confidentiality and compliance. Work with cross-functional teams that include: business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders. Create and maintain documentation for data models, report specifications, and best practices. Provide training and support to end-users to enable them to effectively use Power BI reports and dashboards
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. 8 years of professional experience working with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M Query. Must have completed at minimum 1 project end to end working with Power BI (Power BI) Strong SQL or T-SQL skills are required. Must be able to read and write basic and complex queries. Experience with data integration from various sources such as Google API's, Autobay Analytics, Excel and SQL. Strong analytical and statistical skills, with the ability to perform advanced data analysis using statistical software (e.g., R, Python). Knowledge in data build tool or similar data transformation frameworks Experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum, Kanban) Must have experience with data governance and best practices related to security.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with business acumen and the ability to effectively convey complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and actionable solutions. Strong attention to detail and high emphasis creating high-quality reports/dashboards.
