Small Business CFO is an outsourced finance and accounting services firm looking for a colleague who shares these values to join us.

• Has experience working in nonprofit organizations with budgets up to $5 million in revenues / 50 FTEs,
• Can prepare books and financial reports accurately and efficiently,
• Adheres to internal checklists and controls,
• Consistently beats deadlines, and
• Enjoys setting up systems and processes to improve the speed and quality of closes.

Our work consists of:

• Clearing clients’ QBO / Xero bank feeds every week,
• Reconciling cash and credit cards accounts,
• Preparing schedules for remaining balance sheet accounts,
• Answeringclient questions, pursuing clients to get answer to close the books, etc.,
• Troubleshooting problems in QuickBooks Online and Xero,
• Cleaning up data such as adding missing names to the ledger, meeting with clients to clarify income / expense accounts, cleaning suspense, etc., and
• Running payroll, troubleshooting QuickBooks / Xero issues, preparing supporting schedules for nonprofit audits, and ad hoc issues.

To qualify for this position, you need a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, have at least three years’ hands-on work experience—preferably on staff in a multi-project accounting environment, and demonstrate a command of QuickBooks Online and Excel. Nonprofit accounting, QuickBooks desktop, and Xero experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $67,500.00 - $75,000.00 per year
