This position reports to the Director of Business Development and will drive diversified growth of the company's portfolio. This collaborative role will work with Leadership, Engineering, and the EPC team to execute a business development plan that identifies and develops diverse clients and opportunities. These opportunities will strengthen overall market position while promoting our visibility and position as an industry leader in the Engineering and EPC project delivery space. This role drives continued, diversified, successful growth with existing and new clients.
Plays a key role with the management team in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives and execution that drives continuous growth.
Focuses on alignment of Business Development with strategic goals. Translates strategy into quantifiable sales goals and leads goal-deployment process for developing new business opportunities.
Establishes and maintains an EPC market research report that supports the EPC business development strategy. Develops and manages processes and systems to provide management team with timely commercial and operational information in regard to company performance compared to competitors.
Identification and pre-positioning of select major EPC opportunities.
Successfully manage estimating and proposal team by providing critical insight and perspective regarding client’s focus, needs, drivers, concerns, potential value-add, etc. Recruits, hires, develops, and retains outstanding employees.
Owns the Commercial Process including, RFI’s, Document Control, and adherence to Onward Resources Quality Management System.
Co-leads executive bid reviews to ensure long-term financial improvement, win rates, and compliance.
Provide direction and leadership for furthering Onward’s position in the industry through industry events, conferences, and contacts.
Support the development of budgets and schedules for proposals along with annual business planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited curriculum.
Demonstrated leadership and strategic planning qualities.
Strong customer network
Demonstrated understanding and experience in developing FEED and EPC opportunities in the
O&G space. Renewables a plus.
Capable of devising new approaches to solve complex problems.
Capable of effectively marketing to potential clients.
Excellent facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated financial success on completed projects.
Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead and manage.
