Fast growing company seeking experienced Comptroller/ Business Manager (CBM) to step in and execute and oversee financial activities to include all transactions and loan activities and personnel, as well as lead and contribute to projects and they arise. Our CBM will provide support to the following roles within the organization: Senior Engineer, Ops Manager, Field PMs, and Superintendents. As our company continues to grow, we expect the this role to play a leading role in developing processes that are appropriate to the business.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the office – includes the office admin staff, payroll coordinator…
* Ensure efficient operations of the office to accomplish the tasks at hand
* Oversee and implement best practices in order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, taxation activities, as well as management of related personnel.
* Execute monthly closing process, including management and production of financial statement schedules; such as work-in-process, accruals, prepaids, and fixed and intangible assets.
* Produce monthly financial statements
* Develop and maintain short-term cash flow forecast
* Coordinate and implement best practices in treasury management
* Collaborate with CEO, CFO, and EVP on investor and lending report
* Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques
* Conduct internal audits
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations to include USDOL & IDOL requirements
* Serve as operational lead for external financial auditor
* Support operations and field personnel
* Collaborate with ownership
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in accounting management or other related fields; CPA a plus.
· Previous management experience with direct reports.
· Fundamental knowledge of GAAP; experience with job cost reporting and percentage of completion accounting for multi-month/multi-year projects.
· Proficient in QuickBooks Pro
· Strong leadership and change management skills.
· Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Self-starter; comfortable with directing one's own work.
· Deadline and detail oriented
· Proficient in Spanish a plus
