Scope of Work: The Alternate Project Manager provides direction, leadership, and guidance to ensure alignment with corporate/contract safety and quality policies, strategic objectives, and organizational goals that are accomplished safely, on time, and error-free.
Responsibilities:
- Provides direction, leadership, and guidance to ensure alignment with corporate/contract safety and quality policies, strategic objectives, and organizational goals that are accomplished safely, on time, and error-free.
- Oversees all maintenance scheduling, including work in progress and work performed by subcontractors and vendors.
- Apply a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze, and improve effectiveness and efficiencies.
- Supervise and coordinate daily training to support facilities and infrastructure requirements to support the organizational goals.
- Leads and guides the maintenance team in applying the appropriate problem-solving techniques to develop business-centric solutions.
- Continuously monitors the maintenance team facility progress and initiatives, ensuring performance work statement (PWS) is being met.
- Develops plans and coordinates facility service contract projects.
- Communicates and reports progress to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) on assignments, projects, program issues, milestones, and deadlines for completion.
- Assign work orders and PM schedules for all assigned personnel.
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors , consistently giving guidance and direction in planning maintenance scheduling requirements.
- Assist with repairing and executing budget and ensuring contract performance in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Reports the daily inspection report requirement of maintenance work conducted.
- Reports the inspection of Contract performance standards and progress.
- Submits documentation of a monitoring system, assuring all line items are performed according to contract specifications on a weekly basis.
- Communicates with various Government professionals in a manner that upholds high levels of expectations.
- Communicates a clear vision to ensure line of sight to functional goals for key functional participants.
- Provides support to the Project Manager.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ten (10) years of experience managing large-scale DoD or federal programs with facilities maintenance or civil engineering is required.
- Recent experience within the last three (3) years must show experience as a project manager managing large, complex, service-type, performance-based government contracts required.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree from an accredited university in engineering, business administration/
- management, or a closely related field required.
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Certification as a facility manager is preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years or more experience managing base operations support functions or as a construction superintendent or project manager for commercial, institutional, or industrial construction projects.
- Working knowledge of office automation software (MS Windows, MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Excel) is required.
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidance is required.
- The ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and resolve issues are critical to the success of this position.
- Must be able to work alternate shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check. To operate a company vehicle, as defined by Company policy, must have a safe driving record.
- Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
- Must be able to work in a team or alone and change jobs on short notice.
