Business Process Optimization Manager manages teams that study and develop optimization changes to an organization's business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability. Conducts research on best practices and industry trends for the business. Being a Business Process Optimization Manager oversees the in-depth analysis of existing workflows. Utilizes flowcharts and process maps to define existing processes and identify areas needing improvement. Additionally, Business Process Optimization Manager engages and organizes subject matter experts and cross-functional groups to collect inputs. Implements the tools required to collect and measure relevant data, identify key performance indicators (KPI), and produce a data-driven analysis of critical functions. Introduces new business processes to the organization and produces documentation, tools, and training to support adoption. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Business Process Optimization Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the grocery department
- Manage and supervise a team of grocery clerks
- Ensure excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and resolving any issues
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and make informed decisions regarding product assortment and pricing
- Train and develop employees on proper procedures, including safety protocols and customer service standards
- Collaborate with other department managers to coordinate promotions, displays, and special events
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a grocery management role or similar position
- Strong math skills for inventory control and retail math calculations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Proven ability to supervise and motivate a team
- Knowledge of wireless sales is a plus
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
