NEHP and ENGVT are an EPC (engineer, procure, construct) firm with locations in Williston, VT, Dallas, TX, and Phoenix, AZ. We specialize in the design and off-site construction of process piping systems for semiconductor fabrication facilities. Our engineering first, construction productivity focus makes us a key part of the client's project team.
SUMMARY
This is a newly created AP/AR Specialist position within the finance and accounting department. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail oriented, a good communicator, and capable of covering a broad range of finance and accounting tasks including (but not limited to): AP/AR preparation for month-end close activities, input invoices into our ERP system, review account statements from our vendors and communicate to them the status of invoices, problem solve with multiple departments, communicate with manager and controller.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develops guidelines for proper handling and coding of invoices to maintain general ledger expense account and inventory records.
- Analyzes expense reports and other invoices for accuracy and eligibility for payment.
- Reconciles accounts payable and accounts receivable totals and general ledger with other applicable records.
- Ensures proper recordkeeping of purchases for use in tax preparation and periodic audits.
- Ensures employer identification numbers or social security numbers have been collected from all vendors.
- Prepare and submit 1099s.
- Ensures proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records in case of audits.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Manage & record day-to-day transactions.
- Collaborate with General Accounting Manager on P&L and BS variances.
- Oversee and record all fixed asset purchases and monthly depreciation expense according to company policy.
- Act as an integral part of financial audits, bank audits, 401(k) audits and others as needed.

High school diploma and some post-secondary education. At least two or more years accounting experience including month end close process, preparation of financial statements or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles. Superior computer skills to include Windows-based accounting software, strong Excel skills, Word, Outlook.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to analyze financial information, identify discrepancies, and provide solutions. Ability to identify problems, collect information, establish facts, and suggest solutions. Ability to develop and support conclusions.
