Dispatch Customer Care Specialist

• Assist customers in scheduling pick-ups and deliveries of small parcels, pallets, LTL’s, and truck loads.
• Respond to customer emails and/or phone calls to answer questions and ensure quality customer service.
• Generate reports to provide customer information as needed.
• Key in orders received from customers and vendors into a tracking spreadsheet.
• Maintain the company safety culture to ensure DOT compliance and company requirements are met.
• Monitor email, take phone calls and/or text messages from drivers and/or customers.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of dispatch experience, preferably in a transportation environment
• Process information with high levels of accuracy
• Communication and customer service skills to enable customer relationship building
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Exemplify safe working conditions in compliance with OSHA regulations
• Must be able to work Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Regular, punctual attendance

Preferred Skills

• PCS / TMS experience preferred, but not required
• Accurately analyze situations and reach decisions based on informed judgment
• Adapt to changing environments
• Establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, managers, and peers
