Business Process Specialist, Sr. researches, analyzes, and recommends changes to an organization's business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability. Collects and studies operational and performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Being a Business Process Specialist, Sr. develops process documentation and project plans. Creates flowcharts, process maps, and diagrams. Additionally, Business Process Specialist, Sr. supports cross-functional activities and working sessions during projects' design and implementation phases. Designs and prepares documentation, training materials, and communications supporting new processes. May deliver training to impacted business units. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Business Process Specialist, Sr. works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.   • Job Summary

    The Communications Specialist is part of a two-person team reporting to the Dean.  This position collaborates with various stakeholders within the college to develop, write, and edit content for diverse communication channels, including websites, social media, digital signage, and email. Additionally, this role is responsible for designing graphics for both digital and printed materials, ensuring alignment with university branding guidelines. The Communications Specialist monitors and reports out on analytics for various communication channels, coordinating student assistants, and managing equipment organization and maintenance.

    Key Qualifications

    • Foundational knowledge of general practices, methods and procedures related to public affairs, media relations, and/or marketing. 
    • Working knowledge of protocols and institutional etiquette related to public and media relations.
    • Basic knowledge of applicable copyright and other laws pertaining to written materials, news media and confidentiality.
    • Knowledge of basic web communication techniques, vehicles and formats.
    • Strong writing and editing skills to quickly produce clear and concise standard documents for internal and external publication.
    • Demonstrated experience using graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud), social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, and mass email design, production and distribution systems.

    Education and Experience

    • Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university and two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in marketing and public relations, or a related field. A graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

    Salary and Benefits

    Anticipated Hiring Range: $47,000 - $65,000 Per Year

    Classification Range: $40,056 - $67,836 Per Year
