Being a Business Process Technology Consultant provides consultation regarding solutions planning, impact analysis, risk assessment, and budgeting. May provide financial analysis to determine ROI/ROA of proposed solutions. Additionally, Business Process Technology Consultant requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Business Process Technology Consultant occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. The Opportunity
If you are reading this, we could guess two things about you: You are highly analytical and skilled at solving complex problems and you love working with people. As our Sr. Process Engineer, you will provide technical expertise and project leadership for small to large projects from pre-sales through estimating, sales, project management, fabrication, FAT, SAT, and customer training.
You will report to the Process Engineering Manager.
Qualifications
On a given day, you might find yourself:- Using the customer's specifications to create a project design to a level of detail necessary to build the proposed equipment
- Providing technical sales support by interacting with customers to define scope of work and to understand their needs and wants
- Examining customers' specifications as necessary to fill in details to finish designs
- Producing Process and Instrumentation Drawings (PID's) for in-house projects when customer does not provide them. It is the engineer's responsibility to charge for PID work appropriately in the estimate.
- Reviewing and correcting customer approval drawings on projects and providing direction to CAD Designers regarding approval drawings.
- Developing project estimates and proposals including project equipment descriptions, requests estimates from other departments as required
- Monitoring and initiating additional work authorizations for appropriate drawing changes.
- Providing material requisitions for specialty items, work authorizations, estimates, and project management
The Challenge
To thrive, you should:- The candidate must have basic knowledge of AutoCAD software for the completion of required drawings.
- A thorough understanding and ability to use all Microsoft software applications is required as well.
- Meet or (exceeds) project deadlines and budgets
- Learn and identify BPE (Pharmaceutical grade) requirements, 3A Dairy Standards, PMO, and other sanitary standards as required for projects
- Contacting the customer and/or project manager with questions related to projects.
- Writing/Reviewing project proposals with estimators and designers; completes a bill of specialty items & materials for the project.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Engineering Team Leader

- Has the ability to work with little direction and leads the project team to a successful completion of multiple projects.
Education & Travel- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent from an accredited college or university as well as 3-6 years of industry experience (sanitary processing in the food and pharmaceutical industry is preferred); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
