Job Overview

This position reports to the Commercial Credit Administration Manager. This role requires someone who is enthusiastic about educating and assisting our members with our business services, products and loans. This role will be the primary contact for all business accounts and Member Business Loans (MBL).

$20.78-$31.17

Qualifications

Skills and Experience

• Education – 2-year college degree or equivalent professional certifications
• Minimum 5-years of business banking experience/customer service in a financial institution setting preferred
• Previous credit union experience is a plus
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal abilities
• Understanding of financial industry concepts, related laws, and regulations
• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based applications

Role Description and Essential Duties

• Responsible for providing small business loan services to business account members, potential business members and executing sales strategies to maximize loan/deposit fundings though core and loan origination system (LOS) as written in policy and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for business members wanting to establish a business deposit relationship; to include opening, servicing, maintenance, problem resolution and all the Red-Carpet Service entails.
• Training members and team members on business services, products and business documentation, addressing internal/external inquiries and complaints and providing solutions.
• Knowledgeable expert who is educated on all services provided.  Attends required training and demonstrates a willingness to keep learning.
• Acting as an empowering mentor to provide guidance to our members and building trust. Demonstrate the ability to give sound advice considering our members’ best interests.
• A natural communicator whose work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
• Role influences procedures, job standards, and specific policies within the functional unit. Moderate amount of discretion available in the role, often with multiple courses of action. Decision-making occurs with pre-defined parameters and may be reviewed by a supervisor prior to action. Decisions outside of role parameters take the form of recommendation.
• Responsibilities may require analysis of data and weighing the outcomes of a decision. Has the ability to work through problems by referencing previous precedent. This role solves is expected to solve problems and deliver solutions where past precedent may not exist. Requires a degree of creativity and the ability to analyze data, weighing the desirability and/or probability of possible outcomes in relationship to each other.  
• The role has authority to influence the services or product which an individual member may receive. The role does not have budgetary responsibility but may have authority to make decisions that impact current results.
• Moderate supervision and inspection of work. Errors may be difficult to detect and require supervisor guidance to resolve. Role is expected to function independently with consultative direction from supervisor. Errors can result in significant loss of time and financial impact. Role will include assistance in identification and resolution of problems and errors of others with input from immediate supervisor.
• Complies with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) rules and regulations, in addition to Customer Identification Program (CIP). Attends required annual BSA training and required compliance training.
• Assist with all other duties as assigned or identified.
